Sales.

A few weekends ago I attended my 5th (and final) Star Sellers Conference of AIESEC in Australia. I held back from the phrase ‘back in my day’ as best I could, but every now and then it needed to come out.

Our processes and techniques have become more sophisticated (to be honest, it didn’t need to come far from phone book cold-calling) but it’s meant that we’ve become focused on the process. Not taking action.

To a degree, this conference was a turning point. This was the first time we didn’t focus solely on the process and technique, and reverted back to the reason that we do this; the impact that we create by bringing the best young talent from all over the world to Australia. It’s a start, but we’re still not there, and we won’t be until there’s a tidal wave of interns coming to Australia.

How do you instill culture shift? How long does it take, and what more needs to be done?
